Launches the Saddle Club for all our helpers…….

 

We invite all young clients, both lesson and livery to join our saddle club which will be developed to run specific training sessions for the needs of the helper and young horse person, who is interested in learning about how to keep horses and ponies safely and to care for them as well as improving their riding and generally having fun !

In order to satisfy the health and safety legislation and to ensure the safety and well being of all our helpers, it is necessary that any child wanting to spend time on the yard in addition to their allotted lesson time must be a fully paid up member of our saddle club. 

The annual subscription for the saddle club 2009 is £45 payable on commencement.   This fee will cover administration and supervision of the child whilst at Busby Equitation Centre Ltd.

 

Membership Criteria:

· Regular lesson or livery client at  BEC

· Min age 8 years

· Attendance at a minimum of 10 of the Saddle club training sessions to be held during the year (i.e. one additional lesson per month, over and above normal riding lessons)

· Adherence with the basic rules of the yard as laid out on the attached document.  

Benefits of membership:

· Fortnightly training sessions – will be organised.  These will be priced at the subsidised rate of £20 and will usually last 1½ - 2 hrs depending on the nature of the session.

· Supervised learning and development towards ABRS or BHS stable management and progressive riding tests, in addition to stable helper certification.

· 10 % saddle club discount card for all shop purchases of equestrian clothing and kit (excludes tuck shop purchases )

· Saddle club subsidised holiday “own a pony days”

· Allocated member of staff to supervise saddle club members
